WEDC loans available for storm-affected businesses
The loans, $20K a piece, total $1M
Microloans totalling $1 million are available to small businesses that were damaged by the severe July storms in Wisconsin that caused major damage to forests and businesses in as many as 17 Wisconsin counties. The loans from the Wisconsin Economic Development Council will not bear interest and will be capped at $20,000 each.
The loans can be used for cleanup and restoration services, operating expenses, temporary space, payroll, and repair and reconstruction work, according to WEDC.
The program for Adams, Forest, Juneau, Langlade, Lincoln, Marathon, Oneida, Portage, Vilas and Wood counties will be administered by the North Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission (ncwrpc.org).
For Barron, Chippewa, Clark, Dunn, Eau Claire, Polk and St. Croix counties the program will be administered by the West Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission (wcwrpc.org).
