The Wisconsin DNR's state forestry headquarters move to Rhinelander from Madison continues to progress, with top forestry positions being transferred to the northern Wisconsin city.
The move, meant to move government officials closer to some of the larger organizations in the state's forest industry, was authorized in the 2017-2019 state budget. Wis. Gov. Scott Walker announced the move in October 2017.
The new location is on Sutliff Avenue in downtown Rhinelander along the Wisconsin River.
