Wisconsin Rapids Prepares for Three-Day Auction of Verso Mill Equipment

A three-day auction July 23-25 at the former Verso paper mill in Wisconsin Rapids will be offering a Voith Sulzer paper machine and a Beloit DD 4000 pulp refiner for sale. This will be the second sale of e equipment from the former Verso mill site. The real estate, which has been undergoing analysis by the city of Wisconsin Rapids, is not being sold at this time.
The auction by Capital Recovery Group also includes heavy “mobile equipment”, forklift trucks, and a spare parts inventory. There will be an inspection available on July 22. There will be internet bidding on the first two days of the auction.
The mill closed in June of 2020. Verso Corporation was purchased by the Swedish Company Billerud, which continues to operate at other locations in the U.S.
